Frequently Asked Questions
What will a service/restoration cost?
⇒ Early SS machines (up to "85) R4.5K. Late SS machines R5.5K.
EM's will not be serviced if they don't complete a reset sequence. I've had too many
cases of "Yes, its works" meaning the lights come on but nothing else to burn my fingers on an off the cuff
quote. Bring or send the machine to me and I'll have a look. My have-a-look fee is R1500.00
What do your machines cost?
⇒ Send me a whatsapp and I'll send you a brochure with a price list.
Do you ship to the USA/Europe?
⇒ No. I don't get involved in shipping. If you want to get an estimate of what it will cost use the web calculators of FedEx or UPS.

What does EM stand for ?
⇒ EM is short for electromechanical. Also Extensive Maintenance. These machines are from the early 70's and before. They run on relays, switches and score reels. When they're old and dirty it can be a real bitch to get them to run properly. If you own one you'll have to do maintenace on it yourself, quite regularly.
Should I buy an old EM machine?
⇒ Only if you're capable of maintaining it yourself.
What does SS stand for ?
⇒ SS is short for Solid State. These machines run on electronic circuit boards and have digital displays. They are far easier to maintain.
What's my machine worth ?
⇒ It depends on the condition and the game model. If its not working, made in Spain and has a worn playfield and cabinet its worthless. If its in pristine condition and its a Twilight Zone from Bally its worth a fortune.
